The Status of Women Council of the NWT is pleased to announce it will be hosting a 2-day Campaign School workshop for on March 18th and March 19th in Inuvik NT.
The purpose of the Campaign School is to provide support and relevant information about elections and campaigning as a woman in the NWT. Women who are thinking of running in future elections, as well as individuals who have committed to taking on a key position in a woman’s campaign, are encouraged to apply.
Tentative agenda items will include:
- Door Knocking & Cold Calling
- Putting Your Team Together
- Networking Workshop
- Networking Mixer
- Rules and Regulations for Territorial Campaigning
- Tips and Encouragement / Why run
- Media Training
- Barriers to Running for Office
- Role of an MLA and what to expect
Women will be asked why they hope to attend the school on the registration form. Click here for registration forms.
