December 6th Vigil

December 6, 2017, is the 28th anniversary of what came to be known as the Montreal Massacre. Events are held throughout the country to remember the 14 women who were murdered and all women who have suffered violence in their lives because they were women. We welcome you on this day to join us in remembering those we have lost and take action by declaring that violence against women will not be tolerated.

The vigil will be held from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6th at the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre.

The 2017 December 6th Vigil is hosted by the Status of Women Council of the NWT.
Support provided by the Public Service Alliance Of Canada North NWT Regional Women's Committee & the Northern Territories Federation of Labour.
