Standing Together to End Family Violence

October 21 - 27, 2018

The Family Violence Awareness Week is focused on creating awareness across the territory and promoting a change in attitudes and behaviours as we strive to address, reduce, and ultimately, bring an end to family violence.

Community FVAW event funding available

The Status of Women Council works with numerous partners to plan our annual Family Violence Awareness Week. We offer the opportunity to organizations to apply for up to $1000 in funding to support hosting a Family Violence Awareness Week event in their community. Click here for a funding application form and please feel free to contact us for more information or with your questions. Successful applicants will be informed in writing and will receive a FVAW resource kit to support hosting your event.
