Take Back the Night is an international event and its mission is to end sexual harassment and violence against women as they walk or run on our streets. Early marches were often deliberately women-only in order to symbolize a women's individual walk though the darkness and to demonstrate to women that together they can resist fear and violence. Today, our march and most marches around the world include men and gender diverse individuals as everyone is part of the solution in ending violence against women.
