Wise Women Awards
The Status of Women Council has been hosting this award since 1992. The Council has been recognizing women for their time, commitment and work in improving the lives of women and families in their communities through the Wise Women Awards.
The awards are meant to honor women who are role models in their communities. It recognizes the advocacy work, support and dedication to improving the status of women and is meant to encourage women to continue their great work.
We are excited to announce that we will be offering the Wise Women Awards in October 2019. October is Women’s History month and a wonderful opportunity to recognize the women building our communities, the Northwest Territories, and a strong North. More information to be posted in the near future.
